This is my new girl, she is one of Barbara's babies from the first clutch and was born on 7/17. Her proud parents are Ms. Tiggs & PVT Blaze. As we know, all Barb's beardies are spoiled.
She had a long trip from CA yesterday, all the way to NY. She arrived 12:30 today. She is gorgeous, has orange colored eyes and is a real sweetie.

I had a problem with Photobucket, promise to put up more pics later. She had a bath, ate a few greens & a little squash as well as 2 crickets. She has been cuddled quite a bit already. And, as Barbara knows, she loves to run up your hand & arm when you try to put her back in. :D
Her stress marks are gone right now, she laid on my lap and snuggled into my hand.

Hi Diane,
Sorry to hear that you're getting rain, as if you didn't get enough during both of those storms. Glad to hear Franklin is back, what a good looking frog he is & little Fergie, too.

I'm glad that Misty is enjoying her new viv (it's great) but I can understand your concern hearing that big plop. 18" is still 18", silly dragon. Guess she likes the jump, makes her feel as if she's outside bouncing around.

The pics are all great, Judas looks younger than Lonzo now, good that he's so full of energy. Lonzo still likes to run around the living room, even though he's not doing the security checks like he used to. He's still eating alot, which is good, but I think he's going to be sleeping soon. I wake everyone up at 7a now, so at 8a I can start baths & feedings. Yet I still have mornings when I run out of time & they don't get their worms/crickets. I'm getting more organized, good thing, I start full-time hours a week Monday.

I talked to Jake yesterday (I didn't get into work, too sleepy, probably from a heat virus), so he's agreed to be trained to feed everyone as well as put lights on & off so I can get away next summer. I was so surprised that he'd be willing to do that, but he just thinks my dragons are great, even though he doesn't want to own one, they're such expensive reptiles to keep. This is the best of both worlds, he can play with them all he wants & it's his "job". I'm one lucky woman that I know his mom, he's been so good while I've been getting back to work.

As for Gizmo, a day at a time. I'm glad you've decided not to weigh him so often, poor little guy, hope the CC works well for him. When my crew needed a boost I got Carnivore Care from my vet, but it seems they don't get it up here anymore, a problem with coming over the US/Canada border. If you can find it, it's got 20% or more protein than regular CC. Maybe that would help him, too?

Big hugs to everyone, special hugs to Gizmo,
take care,
Deb

Misty is just like Phoebe right now.... Phoebe has not moved in the past 24 hours :( She has never been this sleepy before... I guess the first year, she was too busy laying eggs and last year, I suppose, she was too busy catching up on all the growing she missed out on the first year!!! I miss her :( AND, I NEED to get calendar pics!!! ARGH! Huff is the same, he lodges himself under his log with his head behind his rock, so I dont see much of him either :( Kazi is wide awake tho - I think he thinks that brumation time is over! I have to say, I am already missing the other two.

OOOPS - sorry for the hijack!

Gizmo's eyes are very like Kazi's when he is sleeping! He just looks so adorable on his hammock - I love how peaceful they seem when they are having a good snooze.

I, too, hope Gizmo enjoys the CC - its really trial and error with the consistency but once you get it, its easy.

What a fat butt Misty is... :love5: ...Roux likes to hide in her fake Ivy too and right now all I can see is her butt and tail.

Yes, Blaze is very out spoken in the beardie communication area.
Do you remember the video of him chasing me around the kitchen? Because he didn't want me to video him I'm guessing.
He's is the one that actually gets me going on the salads in the morning with the stares at the refrigerator and lip licking/smacking. He lets me know he's ready, an I better get on it before he gets mad by head bobbing me, if I don't respond promptly with his salad to his first request. If I fail to serve his majesty before he gets mad then I get head bobbed half the day and he tries really hard to hold out on eating that salad. Trying very hard not to look at me or make eye contact.
As if to teach me a lesson. He will still end up eating it eventually but very sneakily not to let me catch him. If Blaze doesn't want to take a bath or wants out there's no stopping him...he will totally spaz out till he succeeds in escaping or I remove him.

Tiggs is much more suttle in her requests for food...it's more of a look in her eyes...same with wanting out of her bath.
But when it comes to wanting out of her viv then she is the most impatient of them all. Spaz! This is the purpose for the rock
basking spot being covered in a towel. Does Misty like to emerge her entire head under the water when swimming in her bath? Tiggs does...she is my polly wog. I love watching her enjoy her bath. :)

Giz is so precious in that pic...makes me want to kiss him. :love5:
Did Gizmo's CC make it yet?

You got some really good shots of Franklin and Fergie.
They are really cute! :love5:
I bet they are very relaxing to sit and watch and listen to. :)

Yes the temps are still quite uncomfortable. The nights are starting to cool down a little though. It's been dropping into the mid 60's, but during the day its gross. Can you say? I'm melting!
It has my beardies a bit confused I think. Because it's so hot during the day but day light time is shortening.
Itty Bitty is out and Blaze is trying very hard to hide so it's not gonna be long for him. Tiggs, Piggy, Roux, the hold backs and Lola are all slowing down a lot. Checkers, Flame, and Gus are still wide awake and causing havoc.
Oh and as of the last couple of days Zak is looking tired and wanting to hide though Wheezie is full of energy. Going into and coming out of brumation for them is so different. Different is the only word I could come up with.

Gee...Thanks Christine :p for reminding me about the calendar pic's I didn't take ahead a time...AGAIN!

Hi Deb,

Yes, it was a concern when Misty jumped, but she acts fine thankgoodness. I guess eggs aren't a worry either as she is still eating protein and not hyper although she does walk around some. She is wide awake in the morning then looks tired and wants to sleep in the afternoon.

Judas is the most active one, amazing since he is the oldest. He sure enjoys large hornworms. Lonzo still sounds quite active, hope he doesn't go down soon.

It is hard trying to get everything done in the morning, seems like never enough time and we're always rushing around. So, a wk from Monday you start full-time hours? Good luck with that. Here you're going to be full time and I can't work for a while. You didn't feel good yesterday, how are you today? Jake sounds like amazing help to have, so reliable and he really enjoys it. :p

Yes, one day at a time with Gizmo. I had tried the Repta-Aid Insectivore/Carnivore care and he didn't like that at all, acted like he was going to vomit every time I gave it to him. He has very strong likes & dislikes.

Hugs to you and all your babies.

Hi Christina,

Wow, so Phoebe is definitely brumating then. Does she wake up at all? Huff is down now too? It's a good thing Kazi is wide awake, hopefully he does think brumation is all over with. I have to think about calendar pics too, guess I might have to pick a few I took last yr that I didn't submit. Don't worry, you didn't hijack anything.

Yes, Giz does look very peaceful when he's on his hammock. He wasn't awake very long at all today, did get him to eat a few tiny dubias and a little baby food. The CC will hopefully be here tomorrow. I'm sure it will take a little doing to get the consistency he likes.

Now that you mention it Barb, I do remember Blaze chasing you around the kitchen. Wow, Blaze is set in his ways and wants what he wants. Gee, if he could snap his toes at you, bet he would be! Misty does the licking and chomping too sometimes when she figures she has waited long enough. That's so funny the way he sneakily eats his greens so that you don't see him doing it, what a stinker! Who does Flame act like?

Sometimes Misty will swim like a frog with her whole body under water, it's funny to watch.

So, Zak is getting sleepy but Wheezie isn't? Which one has the upper hand right now? Your beardie household must be something else to witness. Lots of different personalities and behaviors, must be something new every day!

We do enjoy the frogs. I think they have had enough rain too. When the sun popped out for about 5 min today, it didn't take both of them long to jump up on the rocks to sun themselves. It's bad when even frogs look water-logged.

Wow, compared to Franklin, Fergie is just a baby!
The pic of both of them sitting on the log is precious. Were they talking to each other at that time? Do they ever?

Gina, the picture of them on the log was taken before Franklin took off so Fergie has actually grown more since then. I've never heard them talk to each other but quite often Fergie was make his young bull frog sounds after Franklin starts in. They both enjoy talking to us.

Great pics Diane! I love that pic of Misty's behind  and even though Giz is sleepy he still looks good :D I can't believe how big Fergie got since the last pics you emailed me! They both look very happy in your water garden 8)

Yes Michele, Fergie has grown quite a bit, they both enjoy dive bombing crickets. They love Mulberry crickets. So, I guess even the frogs are spoiled.

Hi Christina. Gizmo ate 3 supers on Friday but no feeders since. He's not too crazy about the new CC, I've been mixing it with a little baby food, he'll lick some off but not as much as I'd like. He and Misty both crash in the early afternoon. Judas is going strong, still eating very well and running around all over the place. Hard to believe he will be 9 yrs old next month.
I have to check in to see how Kazi and your other babies are doing.

At least Gizmo is taking a little :)

Kazi has got quite eager for it again (he had another 'turn' on Friday so I'm attempting to detox his system again). Hopefully Gizmo will get used to the new taste soon tho and start lapping it up!!!

That's great that Judas is so active and healthy! He's doing so well for being that little bit older!!

Yes, I'm happy that he at least willingly took a little of the CC combination yesterday and today. I noticed there are particles that are a little tricky to totally mix in, I'm hoping he will get used to it and take more.
I just posted on Kazi's thread, I'm sorry that he had another "turn" on Friday, hope he is feeling and acting better very soon.

Hi Christina. Well, Misty eats a horn (or a few supers) every morning, digests, walks around a little and is ready to go back to sleep in the early afternoon. Giz eats about every other day or so, this morning he ate 3 supers and 8 small crickets which I was very happy about. Sometimes I can get a little bit of CC into him but he's not too fond of it. He wants to go to sleep early in the afternoon too but wakes up early in the morning. I ended up submitting a picture I took last year of him and one from about 3 yrs ago as he looked much healthier then and I knew he wouldn't be up to posing this yr. I have to watch him closely when he tries to walk around because his muscle tone never got any better.
Judas isn't showing any signs of brumation at all, he still is very active and eating very well. He's amazing and will be 9 yrs old on Oct. 11th.
Thanks for checking in on them.

Thats great that they are all still eating a little!
That was a great amount for Giz! WOO!! Hopefully he doesnt get too unsteady on his legs - Huff is like that, he has very little muscle tone on his legs and tends to wobble a lot and get his legs in a tangle but he still keeps going and Im sure Giz is the same! I have Phoebe on CC now too :? Thankfully, she eats it off a spoon!
Isnt that amazing - 9 years old and hes still wandering around when everyone else is sleeping!! :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
