Looks ok even though hes avoided the uvb light?

Ive taken the leaves out of the enclosure now. Temps are good except for late afternoon when the sun hits the living room. I came home today at 4pm an it was 65c. When i left him at 12.30 lunch time it was 38c
Im assuming thats dangerous at 65c.

That gets dangerous if he can't get into a cooler area, yes (and why I love having my dimming thermostat/controller - I run into similar issues). He looks quite healthy though.

A temp. of 65C could easily kill him....please find out how you can keep it from getting that high. I think Fred dodged a big bullet !

Until i get a thermostat is it ok to turn the heat lamp off for a couple hours?

I turned it off today at 1pm lunch time. It was reading 38c. When i came home at 4pm the temp was 41c so much better than leaving the lamp on.

Is it ok to do that? Reptile shop said it was fine. X
