My beardie is only 5 months old, and I give him a bath every day still. I think like Randy said, a few times a week is a good idea, since they dont usually drink water, bathing is important to keep him hydrated plus lots of veggies and fruits too.

Try not to approach her from the top... Beardies have an instinctual sense to defend against predators that would attack from above. Try to approach her with your hand from the side, or in front of her... that might help

Thank you Cheryl.. I really wanted to get a male dragon, but the more I check, the more convinced I am that Dexter is a girl... I am not looking forward to her laying eggs, but hopefully, as you said in another post, I have a few years before it happens. This tutorial has helped a lot.

I got mine at petsmart too... if you can find one bigger then that, the one I got had a grid on the back for cutting it to size.

When we were choosing names I did a search for famous dragon names and came up with things like: Puff Spyro Elliott Norbert There were others too that I cant remember... google helps.

Im not an expert, I havent fed any worms yet because Dexter is still too small, but I have read on here that a lot of worms have sticky feet, so I think thats why they sometimes take a couple swallows to get down...

Lettuce and cucumbers wont hurt a bearded dragon, they just don't offer any nutrients. They are mostly just water, so you dont want your beardie filling up on them. I think what you are offering is great, hopefully he finds something he likes.
