Ahhh...so your experiencing the hormonal male are you?
They are all different in the way they act anytime even when they are hormonal. Checker's will head bob at me even he doesn't need to see a female beardie same with Blaze. Z&W are pretty easy...out of site out of mind with them. But PVT Blaze and Checker's it can last days...weeks even.

Is this the first time Aussie has seen a female beardie?
If so by seeing her you have just revved his engine. :p How old is Aussie now?
When it's there first experience getting excited over a female it can take several days for him to calm down.

My beardies don't have any interaction with each other unless it's for breeding purposes...or the babies hopefully not to long for them.

You know it's kind of funny not really but when I first found BD.org I had my beardies housed together. I never had any visible problems...well let's just say I didn't recognize them then. But anyhow even the beardies that use to be housed together do not like each other anymore. I can not even let my females out at the same time. :(

Jarett they have been brumating but I did make them get up today for some water and snuggles if nothing else. I will upload a few pic's in just a few minutes. So check back in a bit. :)

Zak-n-Wheezie are in the midst of brumation but today I made them get up for some water and snuggles. They were happy to get the water but I'm not so sure about the snuggles...they just wanted to go back to sleep. :(

So I went to my dad's 50th birthday party and my step mom mentioned she saw ZnW on AP the other night, my step brother alex thought a 2 headed dragon was awesome but i still can't convince them to let him have a lizard! lol. I bet that was a lot of fun to shoot tho. i'm glad they're doing great, here's to 10 more years!

Awww, look at those precious tongues getting a drink.:love5: Must have seemed good seeing their eyes open for a few minutes, you must miss them when they're sleeping and you don't get to cuddle them. :( Thanks for sharing that video.

Thanks Diane...yes I do miss them badly about right now...I'm okay for the first week or so usually but after that I need my snuggles. An I like to see them eat which of course beardies do not do when they are sleeping. But I'm happy with the few minutes they gave me today it's better than nothin'. :)

Yes, it sure is. I took Gizmo out tonight and he never even opened his eyes. I tried to get him to drink but he just laid there with the drop of water on his nose. This is the 1st year that he has gone down like this although he is always awake for a little while in the morning anyway.

Man your lucky I wish mine would get up for a little while in the morning...Checker's and RD are the only ones right now that is getting up some. Checker's will be out for the count soon though if he does like the last couple of years and I won't see him until late January probably. Checker's doesn't even wake for a bath once he's gone into full brumation. :( RD has been out for about 6 weeks she's been up for 2 days now :D but I don't think she's finished yet. If she does like her usual she will go back out for about a month longer in a few days. :(

So he's finally calmed down, at least from what I've seen of him today -sigh of relief-. He's a generally passive beardy, for a male. Calypso is the tyrant o_O. He had seen her before, when we first got her a year ago, but he didn't care too much for her. Just fed him some baby food and gave him a bath (attempting to make him poo... but it's just not working =( He hasn't gone in nearly 3 weeks! I've even tried a drop of vegetable oil. NOTHING)

Here is a video off my phone of a few days ago, haha.

I don't have the two housed together, nor would I ever consider it, but we do plan on breeding them eventually, once I believe the female is of good age and health and Aussie of good health as well, which he is and, that we have the available space and money. Nothing of a great profit, just for the experience.
Aussie will be 2 years old in December and Calypso, 1 year old in December. It's nice to know they nearly share the same birthday =D

GlueStick have you tried some roaming time(exercise) or a car ride?...those two things usually work for me when someone(Checker's)doesn't want to go poo.

I let him roam my room, and he usually goes, but he hasn't. Although I've usually always been successful with the car ride, and then he goes in a store o_O It's a terrible experience, catching poo in your hand (that's happened three times..)... Though it seems I might have to go with it again. I work at a petstore. He likes to go all over the front counter or, like I said, my hand :puke:

Why must I have all of the 'special needs' animals, haha.
A lizard that won't poop at home and/or frustrate me with eating.
A snake who won't eat mice, is scared of rats, and will not eat in a box.
And a mouse without a tail and with 3 legs, who only eats fruits, vegetables, and worms.

'premadonna' animals.

Don't feel bad Checker's rarely will go anywhere but in my car...a few times it was in the speaker in my back window. :puke: I don't mind if it's on the seats as I have the back seat set up just for that purpose with a large trash bag seat cover  covered with a towel so he doesn't slip slide around. He likes to sit on the head rest and knows he can't until he poops. Sometime he won't go until we reach our destination...oh my back seat is equiped with paper towels, santi-wipes, baby wipes, and small plastic bags...when we go into the pet store we/I make sure to have paper towels handy because I already know if he didn't go in the first 2 miles that he is gonna go at the store.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
