I got a young bearded dragon (about 4 inches) about a week ago, and so far, I haven't seen her eat very much. I only saw her eat one worm, and she doesn't show any interest in the crickets in her tank. She's licked a few pieces of fruits/veggies that I've tried to offer, but hasn't taken a nibble out of any of them. However, she's been having regular bowel movements (small) about 1 or 2 times per day.
I have a 20g tank setup with a Reptisun UVB light and a 100W basking light/heat lamp. My room is always 70+ degrees at night, so I don't think that she's too cold, even at night. She has a basking driftwood piece from Petco and a little cave hide. She doesn't seem to like the hide at all.
I've been spraying all of her food with a calcium spray. She seems to enjoy being around people, and eagerly climbs onto my hand when I hold it out next to her.
I've offered her mealworms, crickets, lettuce, apples, celery, carrots, etc. Is there anything else that I can do? Also, any tips on how to get her to use the hide, if it's necessary?
Thank you!!!
