Yellow between scales???

Hi, I'm not only new here but I also am a new owner. Sid is only about 8mo and earlier today, I realised that between the scales on his tail are a pale yellow. He himself is usually yellow, but rn he's darker to absorb the light a little and that's when I noticed the weird colour between it. He hasn't shed in a couple of months but has been growing plenty. I can't tell if it's him getting ready to shed or (God forbid) yellow fungus. Can someone please take a look and tell me their opinions? Thank you so much
