Kyle still miserable with black tail, but averaging 8 mils of fruit paste, beepollen and critcare mix with water a day. Still weak and wobbly, but stable.

It's something she and I argue about, but my persistence overrides her stubbornness. Plus she has a tendency to bite the syringe which gives me the opportunity to hit her with a good mouthful. Little and often seems to be working well, and she has a good long nap after.

The good thing about standard CC over here is that it's protein based So probably tastes yummy and the powder dissolves pretty much completely in water so it's pretty easy to just squirt in when they start licking. The bad thing is that it is protein based and has to be supplemented with something else for older beardies.

Glad to hear that she is improving a little each day. Hopefully she will be back to her old self soon

She is still black tail and grumpy, having dozed all evening and has gone to sleep with a slightly grey beard.

It takes a long time for them to get better. But she is remaining stable which is good.

Have you considered having bloodwork done?

Kazi sometimes goes to sleep with a black beard- usually it calms in an hour or so. How are her fat pads looking at the moment?

Fat pads still down, she's taken to puffing her eyes every now and then. Tail still woefully thin, but you're right, it will take a long time.

I just paid £200 to replace my tires and make the bike safe, money is totally tight this month, but might be getting more end of month.

I need to check with Matt how much and if he can - he's not comfortable with reptiles and I have a needle phobia - complete with vasovagal syncope prodrome. (i go dizzy, blurry vision, half deaf and will likely pass out if I can't control it. Oh, and my throat constricts, which makes it tricky. Not much you can do about any of it!)

I wouldn't want her to go through it on her own, but I am aware I would be a hindrance and scare her.

Kazi settles better when I'm not there for his tests- I stayed to hold him for a mouth culture and it took us 10 mins to settle him before it. Next time, the vet and nurse did it and it took 2 mins. Now when I take him for tests the vet takes him to another room to do it- it also means he doesn't associate me with the bad experience! I think it costs around £60 for standard bloodwork and the lab most uk vets use has results back within 48hrs (usually less). But if your vet doesn't feel comfortable doing it u may need to go to the specialist.

Are you still using the rehydrating powders? How often are you bathing her?

Bathing twice a day. Vet ran out of lectade, will ask around, but as she's taking water and powders etc, not tooooooo worried. I still have a dose in reserve.
