wrinkled beard?

Bane has 2 wrinkles in his beard and I was just wondering if this was normal. I've tried to look it up, but the only thing I find is dehydration, but I know that's not the case with him. He is at a stage where he's getting wider, and his beard is quite large. He actually has a pouch that hangs down over his neck. He's only 6 months old or so. Is it normal, or could it be that his beard is just growing faster than his head? Here are some pictures.
