Good afternoon all,
So I have been suspecting a parasite in my little girl for a few weeks now. Her poo has just always been super smelly and inconsistent. Sometimes it's hard, other times it more on the runny side. So I went ahead and made a vet appointment for the 16th of this month (which is the soonest appointment they could do). Well last night my suspicions were proven to be right, I noticed worms in her poo! I didn't panic simply because I assumed it was pin worms. However, today I'm more convinced it may actually be tape worm
The worms are white, small, and flat. Does this sound like tapeworm to those of you that have any experience with this?
Also, does anyone have any advice on how I could clean her veggies that would eliminate any parasite that could be on them? I always buy from grocery stores (nothing is picked from outside) and I do wash them in water before giving them to her, however I read that parasites and eggs can still be on some veggies even after this. What can I do?
Thanks so much
