won't open eye

new member and first question. Spike all of a sudden stated to get crusty pieces on one of his eyes and I would soak it with warm water and wipe it off. It keeps coming back and now he won't even open his eye. Any suggestions he's about 2 years old.

What type of uv light do you have? If you have a compact bulb, or a reptiglo 10, it could very well be causing the eye problem.
