Hey all,

My baby beardie, Baldr, who I'm guessing is roughly 2 months because he's just about 6", doesn't seem to want to eat greens very much. I can get him to take about 2-3 bites of mustard greens from my hand a day but the small dish of greens gets wasted every day. Also, he wont touch any food with color i.e. Strawberrys or blueberrys. Per day I'd say he averages 20-25 crickets and a 1 waxworm. (also, I've had him for 2 weeks now and for the last 7-10 days has been working on his shed, which I know affects appetite)

At what age/size do beardies really start making the transition to veggies?
Is it ok to switch out crickets for Phoenix worms as his main food?

The big transition will starts towards the 1 years mark, but it doesn't happen over night. He will start eating more and more as time passes by. It is perfectly normal for a dragon that young to not eat greens. Though, we give it regardless every day.

Yes, Phoenix worms can be given as a staple, but remember to transition between them and the crickets slowly.

My boyfriend's dragon just recently started eating greens (not on his own, though). He is 3 1/2 years old and has suffered 4 or 5 impactions and a recent prolapse. He never touched greens before, so the vet said we had to get some greens in him. My boyfriend basically gently opened his mouth and stuck a small piece of bok choy in there.. he sat there looking confused for a second, but then he ate it! We then fed him mustard greens, and he LOVES those. He likes the mustard greens so much that he opens his mouth now when my boyfriend holds a piece up to him, so I would suggest trying mustard greens.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
