So I have a decent sized closet upstairs in my house. There's nothing in it except a few storage boxes. I've put both of my roach bins in the room with a heat pad under both of them and a space heater a few feet away. When you walk into the room its like a sauna now ambient temp is about 91F roach bins are about 95F. Also this room is always going to be dark even when I open the door nobody uses this closet. My question is does this sound like an optimal setup for the roaches to breed in? I'm breeding Dubias and Turks. Thanks in advance

doesn't sound bad...

I would play with temps a bit a watch humidity...

with dubia less is better.

91 sounds good, 95 is pushing it. A spike could kill your colony.

I agree, dubia cant stand the heat like a lot of other roaches. I could set the lateralis at 95F and not worry. If my dubia colony gets over 90F I start to worry. They produce and hold a lot of heat by themselves. Be careful with that much heat!

Thanks guys. But I gave up on the roach room. It was just to hot in there I couldn't regulate the room temp properly. So all I did was raise the roach bins off of the floor and put the heating pad underneath now I get 85F-90F throughout the bins.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
