Will mealworms impact my beardie??

I was gone for the day and my sister bought mealworms and fed them to my 8 month old beardie. I heard these are bad for them and im so nervous! he ate 4 or 5 of them.
Also, is it ok for him to get close to a 150 watt heat bulb? His basking tree lets him get within 7 inches of the light, my family is nervous he will burn himself, i think its fine but i wanted to make sure. The basking area at the top of the tank is like almost 115*.

they're okay just a lot of chitin and not nutritional. i wouldn't feed anymore if you can
