Will a candle scent hurt my beardie's lungs?

My mom just bought this new devise for heating a candle. It makes the whole room smell. It smelled really nice at first (black cherry) but after a few hours it started to get stronger and stronger. It's in the same room as my bearded dragon is. Now it's so intense I feel choked by the smell and even feel like I am going to vomit because it is so strong. I do have an autism spectrum disorder which makes my sences ten times stronger than the averge person's so maybe that has something to do with it. Pippin is just a young juvinile and I'm worried it could possibly hurt his lungs. Even if it will not hurt his lungs the smell might bother him and since he is an a cage, he can't escape from it. I wanted to move the candle or even move Pippin but my mom said I am just being "paranoid in a yucky way". Am I or could the smell bother or possibly even hurt Pippin?

I know for fact that air fresheners, incense, and other types of perfumes can cause respitory problems and even asthma in small animals such as felines, canines, rodents and birds... but I am not sure about reptiles or how it would effect them. I can only assume that if it bothers you, when you walk into the room, it would surely bother his little lungs
