So after almost 4 weeks my baby is still so spooked! I am doing everything that I’ve been told to do.... go slow approaching, always talking to her, feeding her by hand, picking her up when sleepy to get some handeling time and yet she is still so jumpy!!! What are we doing wrong? My daughter is in tears because she can’t even hold her. What else can I do? Also, how long are they considered a “junenile”?
Help!

Jumpy? Meaning that she likes to jump or is skittish afraid? I am not sure ---- it does take them awhile to adjust to new homes --- is she eating? Are you feeding crickets for main diet as that would be her main diet is bugs whether crickets / dubia roaches--- are their other animals around ? Its hard to say maybe some others have some ideas as to what is going on.

She is a fabulous eater, crickets, meal worms, kale, fruit, pellets! Everything!!

She is skidish, looks at me like I’m gonna attack her....

Has anyone mishandled her ? Like picked her up by the tail - has she been dropped? Something must have happened to cause her to behave this way -- after months of going slowly w/ her she should be having trust-- Are there other animals in the house -- we just had someones baby die - the dog got into the cage and got it --- they were heartbroken--

Honestly no harm to her at all...either accidental or on purpose.

Maybe I just need to be a bit more patient....

We have a leopard gecko but they don’t see each other.

Yes I am at a lost then maybe some one else on the forum has some ideas as to why she is acting this way--- just tell your daughter to have patience-- she will eventually bond w/ some one- usually the one that feeds them and spends the most time w/ them--

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
