Why does my beardeddragon never bask?

Mine never sits in his basking spot :S and i have the correct temps and lighting and everything :S
i have had this checked three times like the temp lighting etc as soon as i put him under the basking area he runs to the cool side and sits on a log all day!!

Hi, I don't mean to be pushy or anything but you could please tell us your basking temp, cool side temp, and what UVB you're using? It might be a little too hot for him. Also, what are you using to take your temps?

After you answer those questions, you could try moving his favorite log to your basking area.

I can't get Smurf to set foot away from his log. :| It's kind of weird. He only gets down for food...

Another option would be to switch the hot and cool sides. Like, place the basking bulbs on his cool side and switch everything. Sorry, I'm just putting some ideas out.
