Why A Digital Scale is Essential!

There are tons of uses for a scale to check on your dragon's well-being.
Consistent, slight decreases in weight can be a sign of parasites, a lack of proper nutrition (I had trouble adjusting to my growing beardie's increasing diet), or other diseases. These little decreases will usually start while the disease is in the earliest stages. You can also weigh your beardie during brumation to ensure he or she doesn't loose too much weight. Some beardies get very lethargic and lose their appetite when they shed. These babes would either not loose any weight or lose just a couple grams - any more and there could be an issue. If you keep a record of his weight, you can identify if a condition starts up during this time.
Keeping a record of how much your beardie weighs on a weekly basis (and on a daily basis when they're sick) will help your vet understand how long a condition has lasted and how serious it is.
Keep adding to this list!

xoxo

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
