So I have been dusting my beardies meals with calcium w/ d3 and herpavite multivitamins everyday since I got him. Recently I read that dusting everyday is actually bad for them due to too much d3 can cause issues, but of course I see conflicting info saying that it’s actually fine to dust with d3 and multivitamins everyday. In short, what is the recommended supplement feeding schedule?

Bugs should be dusted w/ D3 for an adult when feeding 2-3 times per week - I dust vitamins 2 x per week - if they are eating their salads like they should alot do not then you should dust w/ the vitamins if they are eating salads they will get alot of nutrients out of the veggies -- but my one is stubborn and does not eat his salad like he should -- so he still gets vitamins 2 times per week dusted on the bugs - I have a Arcadia D3 bulb so I am dusting 2 x per week calcium D3 and 3 x per week w/ out D3 --- babies should get bugs dusted 5 x per week w/ the D3 and vitamins 2 x per week

For a growing dragon,

Calcium supplement 5x per week (not 5 days per week, 5 times total. So if you feed 3 meals a day, only 1 of those meals gets dusted, and that counts as 1 of your 5 for the week)
Multivitamin 2-3x per week.

I've always used the calcium with D3 and never had any issues with it.
Some suggest it can lead to Vit d3 toxicity, but i've never actually seen that in my own, or with others here on the site. But if it makes you feel better, you can use the calcium without D3, as long as you have a very good UV setup.

Our beardie gets offered food once every day and we always dust the bugs with calcium that includes D3, and once a week we also dust them with Reptivite. Our beardie won't eat his veggies either, except squash if we hand feed it to him, and once in a great while a small bit of greens with much coaxing  . He almost always eats some crickets or roaches, which we dust, and occasionally we splurge on hornworms, which he almost never refuses.

He has a Reptisun 10.0 T5 HO tube lamp that sits on a screen top, which, according to the meter, cuts out about 30% of the UV. His basking platform is about 10-12 inches from the heat and UV lamps. We have never had any problems with Vitamin D3 deficiency or excess, and his little skeleton is in good shape.

Just another example. I guess there's more than one way to do vitamin supplements. :?

I've always used the Calc + d3. Never have used calcium without it.

The calcium can be mixed with the multi if you want, but i'd only mix what you are going to use that day.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
