When to switch cricket size?

So I've had Izzy for about 2 months.. He's at 10" and I've noticed lately he will pick up two sometimes three at a time small crickets when feeding.. I was wondering, when is a good time to bump up to medium sized crickets?.. I bought a few today to see how he does with them but wanted some input from you peeps.. Thnx

I wondered the same thing. I've had my dragon for just over 2 months and he's 12in now, and I switched him to med/lg crickets about a month ago. I was feeding him sm/med and he was eating 60, and I finally realized why people say that their dragons eat so much. If you're feeding them tiny things, they are going to eat a ton of them! I buy 1/2 - 3/4in crickets now in bulk, and even when they're full grown at the end of the month he's still eating them fine. They're smaller then the space between his eyes, just longer. Now he only eats around 20 or so, which is the same amount volume wise as the 60 little ones I was feeding him before. He also seems a lot happier with them as well. He obviously ate well before, but now he gets excited about eating. XD

Thanks Icelore, puts my mind at ease a bit.. I was worried the medium would be to much but the small just seem like not enough, I don't mind him eating oodles of them but I want to be sure he is getting enough.. I'm excited to try the medium and see his reaction to the larger size crickets.. Off to feed my baby I go
