When to have a fecal done?

I've been doing the baby toothbrush in his bath every day He gets a bath every day no matter what but the toothbrush we started about a week ago. 100% coco butter...is it a lotion? Can I get it at a CVS? Grocery store? Does it look as bad as I feel like it is? Or am I worrying too much? I feel like it is definitely a problem...

The coco butter you should be able to get at Walmart, maybe CVS. It is a lotion. I'm not sure. I think it's swollen, but don't trust my opinion. Unless it is a super easy, no doubt about it, then yea, but it's at the size where I can't tell if it is swollen or just beardie muscle.

In comparison to his left leg, his right is at least 2x the size and so colorless. I don't want to jump the gun as a new mom and run to a vet if this is something common that I can remedy at home. Then again, I hate to take any chances. I'll go get the 100% coco butter and start there...

Not to mention it does nothing for my "beardie confidence" at all. I will go around answering the questions I know "for sure" answers to while my own beardie is seemingly perfectly fine. Then something scares the poop out of me and my confidence is shot. So, I'll probably keep my mouth shut and opinions/advice to myself for about a week until I figure out what the heck is going on with Batman! Who wants advice from someone who's in mid-panic over something that has yet to be determined as a "problem" haha?!

This is true. I hope you get everything figured out. How much is a check up with your vet? Mine charges $65...would if I went lol

No clue. Calling first thing in the morning. Hoping it's not too much but either way it has to be done. It's time for a fecal and this is happening too. So I'd feel better doing it all at once. Then I can sleep easy again.

Hi there....I think his leg will be fine, they often shed just some parts of their body + not others. It's very common ! Cocoa butter [ I've heard ] is great ,something else you can apply to his leg is non alcohol aloe vera, it's excellent stuff. And as far as a fecal exam, many owners never get one done for a baby or juvie if he shows no sign of illness. It's good to wait until they're older in general just because the meds. can be harsh, and just like some human Dr.s will prescribe stuff that a person really doesn't need, some vets will do the same when a beardie has a low parasite count. But it's up to you.
