When is puffing his beard not normal?

Slightly strange, and have only seen him doing it a couple of times, each time he has been in the basking area of his 5 foot viv.
My beardie is 9 months old, eats really well, sheds and poops.
Basically, he puffs his beard a couple of times repeatedly, lasts about 10 seconds and then at the end opens his mouth really wide as if yawning?

Could someone please shed some light on what this might be? Only just finished a shed so I don't think it's related to that.

Hopefully some more experienced folks will chime in, but I have seen mine doing this in the morning quite often. Sometimes he inflates himself entirely with air, including his beard, while basking right after his lights come on. Seems like a kind of stretching, and does not seem to be a problem. However, mine has never opened his mouth wide like that.

Hi. All 3 of mine have done the yawn beard thing. Totally normal

Yep - perfectly normal - the throat stretching thing (really freaked my wife and me out for the first several months - looked like a gag reflex and really scared us until we observed it happened not long before a shed) , same with the yarn thing.

Had lots of worrying moments until we became more aware of normal beardie hehaviours.
