Oh, this is a fun thread.....
in the last couple of weeks, I got a Whites Tree Frog and a Crestie so those two are off my wish list. I got the White's Tree Frog from Petsmart about a week ago and the Crestie from Craiglist two days ago (same guy has an awesome cage for a Beardie that I bought as well..woo hoo!)...both are awesome and we way sweet to handle when I first got them set up but both are new and not acclimated at all yet...frog is not eating at all and Crestie is hard to tell...but we are hands off for now till they settle down. I hate this part with reptiles....totally freaks me out..gosh, I hope they settle and start eating soon.
So now....top of my list is a gorgeous red, orange, pink, yellow with a bit of blue beardie baby on for sale now...I have PM'd a few times about her...and I love her so...just having trouble sending the paypal. I have ordered everything I need for a house for her...but I am just scared that she won't be as friendly and fabulous as the beardie we have now who I love so, so much.
I am also kinda dreaming about Lucky Number 5 also on for sale now...actually, not so much about Lucky Number 5 as a different bearded dragon without such a way cool feature as a number on its side and a much lower price tag...but similar coloring. I guess it is the red leatherback that I want...I am not too sure about all the morph details.
Let's see...what else...
maybe a female crestie or two to join my male...they seem to have smaller clutches than beardies and I wouldn't mind trying a breeding one day of something...maybe when repticon comes back to memphis in may, I will check them out.
maybe a gargoyle gecko
maybe a fat tailed gecko...except the morph I fell in love with in the latest issue of reptile magazine turns out to be fancy, schmancy and cost 2,500...so um, not gonna happen
there are a couple of leopard geckos on craigslist right now that I am tempted by but I think I might resist...my husband is not really digging the idea of more pets at the moment or especially more cages!
I would love a tortoise but Memphis weather is not good for htem to live outside all the time and I am a bit daunted by how to set it up for one inside.
Oh, I really want a couple of the panama green and black dart frogs....heck, I could have a ton of dart frog cages...I have two dark blue ones now and they are so much fun! Again, maybe at repticon....I got my current dart frogs there.
I would also really like a lab or golden retriever or something like that but I am not quite ready to add another dog to the mix...and my daughter would love a cat but I am worried that so many of the other critters in our house are a bit too close to cat food for comfort-LOL.
I think that is actually it....the second beardie is really almost certainly going to happen...I really need to send that paypal...and the leopard geckos I waver back and forth on over and over and over again...the rest, probably not till at least May...unless of course, the perfect red leatherback just happens to pop up for a steal-LOL!
Oh....and I don't know if it counts exactly or not..but I think we are going to try to breed some silkworms or hornworm...as feeders, but also just cause it sounds like fun!
