Yay! I'd really love a caiman but I couldn't care properly atm. Maybe when I'm older

Are they gargs hard to look after? And do they need a big viv? I'll check yours out now
Same here. :(

SUPER easy! Care is pretty much the same as it is for cresties; they can live on Crested Gecko Diet (made by T-Rex), should be kept around 70-80*F (room temp at my house! :D), etc. The main difference between cresties and gargs is that gargs are slightly bigger (and calmer), and need a slightly larger cage. 20-30gal high for adults. I've got my juvie in a 20gal-ish screen cage that's worked pretty well thus far. (I've got a pic of the cage on my iHerp as well on her profile.) The most important thing is to have plenty of foliage and cover for them to hide in during the day.

Well, since I have a beardie, two leo's, and an armadillo lizard (reptile wise), all I REALLY want is a uromastyx geyri, which I'll be getting in November! So... my wishlist is short and about to vanish :)
Sounds like a nice collection! I would love to have a uro. Good luck with the vanishing wishlist. :p I've never heard of a reptile-keeper that doesn't have a wishlist. What can I say, it's an addiction.

Uromastyx is my current list topper.....but since they require the same lights as my beardies, that probably isn't going to help my electric bill.

Other than the Uro..........I really want a Russian Tortoise and a few crested geckos

I have lots of weird ones.

My WishList:
Dwarf Caiman (DEAD serious)
Mexican King snake
California King snake
Bearded Dragon
Turtle of some kind
Ferret

If anyone could recommend a turtle to me it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

At the KC Reptile show there is always a table there with more turtles and tortoises than I ever knew existed. That way you can see them all up close and personal. They usually have a caimen or two also.

Hm... since my son just got the baby Tegu, Toki @ NARBC in September that is keeping me content with the new reptile fix right now, but I wish I could sell my house because the hubby has promised to build me a whole wall of vivs in the next house so I can have a reptile rescue. My son on the other hand would give anything for some nice morph color ball pythons because he wants to breed them in the future. Unfortunately, the hubby says 3 vivs scattered around the house is already bad enough, but so far no one has been scared of our scaly babies.

LMAO I am in the same boat. I just got like 4 new beardies and my girlfriend pretty much hates me..

- Electric Bill 20% increase - $ 20 more / mth
- Crickets About $35-40 / mth
- Vet bills about $200 / year
- Getting poop all over your shoulder and having your dragon smear it all over your neck..... Priceless.

(although my girlfriend does not think it is priceless 8) )

I think I am done with new reptiles, that is if I want to keep sleeping in my bed... I guess the couch isn't so bad is it? :?:

Well, I have a recliner sofa so it wouldn't be too bad if I got kicked out of bed...but fortunately it hasn't gotten that bad around here yet. I think my husband has realized that he is outnumbered as the kids and I just love the scalies, so he has adopted the, "If you can't beat em join em" mentality. He's gone from claiming that reptiles are evil to Scorch is his daughter and supporting the idea of my son wanting to be a herp vet or conservationist. So don't give up on your girlfriend, people can change!

Truthfully she is already starting to, she will come in and talk to my beardies... it's pretty funny. She even kind of agreed to let me get some roaches! Which I never thought would happen, she is slowly turning but it has taken a ton of effort.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
