Hello Randi,

Yes, we spoke thursday. :D
Absolutely incredible progress. Do not worry, Blazer is doing much much better. His pads on his head ARE filling out, you just can't see it. I can see it in the pics. They are very slow about recovery. Let him take his time, it is a slow process, so don't rush him. He is doing very well at this point in time. He is a nice looking dragon, & appears much happier & alert.
Great job.

Cool! It's so nice to hear reassurance! I'm glad to hear it's a good "poop" & that the fat on his head is coming back!! Thanks for everyone's encouragement and support!

OK, I have a dilemma. I KNOW I need to change his substrate to what I bought but I am struggling with it. He has those stress marks on his stomach and he is SO very close to being better! I know that there's a stress they may go through with changing the environment even with a heathly Beardie. So, everytime go over to him change his world around, I just see a a little guy in there who needs things to be stable around him. I really think he's, JUST NOW, really starting to trust me and not be on his guard all of the time.

Is it OK that I wait a bit longer for him to "stabilize" and get even stronger. I know it's a risk if he starts to lick the sand but, so far so good. I was thinking that if the risk of changing his home around isn't worth the step back he could take (even though we just don't know for sure), maybe I could add a slate tile under his water bowl or, I think better yet, in the basking area?? That way, hopefully hopefully very soon, it will stress him out less because he'll have seen the slates & then i can get that sand out of there and put down the other slate (which he would already be familiar with) and the wonderfully, comfy shelf liner!

So, please let me know what you think and if I'm just being an overprotective mom!!

Thank you, Thank you!

Randi,

Make the change. He's trusting you and the healthier environment will only help him more. Course you're a night owl and online at 11:00 so do it tomorrow ok?

Yes, I hope 3 days with no updates means things are going well! Or did you go and start another thread that I missed?

Was also thinking of you today.
As the hubby and I were driving I saw a chevy blazer and wondered out loud how you guys were doing. I am truly hoping no news is good news. I am sure you are super busy. Sending you lots of good thoughts.

Hello Randi,

How is little Blazer doing? Did you get the substrate all changed out for him today?
I hope he is doing great for you! Post more pictures when you get a chance, thanks!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
