What type of wood is this hide?

Hello,

I've had this Mac's Creature's and Critter's pet refuge for awhile now 2.5 years, but I'm wondering if it is cedar? When I baked it sap came out of the sides. I'm worried that maybe this might be irritating my beardie? Please let me know, if it is I want to get it out of there ASAP.

I ended up removing it. I feel like its had an averse affect on my beardie. It really worries me so I just removed it all together. Still would like to know what kind of wood it is though.

I have seen this on another site or google, person was worried about it as I looked like Cedar wood and had sap on it.
Don't think Cedar is safe with reptiles but I'm no expert.
Might be worth phoning petsmart to be sure, I'm assuming they would know.

Thank you! I removed the hide for precautionary purposes. It wasn't worth the worry. I'm going to take it to one of my professors to see if he can identify it.
