What to do when snow delays crickets?

So, the East Coast snow stopped some cricket shipments yesterday. I guess we should have planned for such eventualities, but we don't like mixing old and new crickets and such, so always try to cut it close with no more than a 1-2 day overlap. Since crickets aren't coming today, we won't see them til Tuesday. This will likely leave us without them for a couple of days. Our BD is 7 months old, so still eating them daily. I'm guessing we should just up the veggies for the couple of days and it's no big deal, but just thought I'd see if there were any opinions to the contrary. Should I try to coax her to eat some of the freeze dried crickets from a pet store, or is that completely pointless? Chicken baby food? I just have a strong feeling any substitute I try will be ignored... Oh, and any type of worm is out. She won't touch them. Thanks.

well, my baby had a shipment of worms comign and they too were delayed, i just increased Phoenix's salad intake. He was only wormless for like 2 days so, yes i do think he slowed down a little bit but i was putting vitamin supplements on his salad to attempt to help with that, and of course i tried the freeze dried cricket things but Phoenix wouldnt touch them, i honestly think your bd will be okay until the crickets get there, just from it happening to me, i did put in a litle extra vitamins like i say but then again this was hte boost we need to get him to atleast begin to eat his veggies ... GOOD LUCK!

Just increase the available veggies for a couple of days. If it extends to more than 2 days, try mixing the babyfood chicken with the chopped greens to just slightly coat them. It's worked for mine in a pinch because they still think it's greens.
