Hello everyone I was recently given these two beautiful beardies, one male and one female. Well my female as picture below has this weird hard bump on her back they say it's been there her whole life but I don't know if it's something I should be worried about it doesn't bother her when I touch it and like I said it's it's hard and obviously she is super fat. Not fat shaming I love her to death but the poor thing when she walks she looks like a frog swimming with his legs extended back because she literally can't move them and she more than once has

fallen and ended up on her back and can't get right side up. She eats or veggies so I'm trying to beardie diet but I would love some advice on that as well as what should I do about this thing on her back? Thanks y'all!!

Hi there,

Poor girl, it must be causing her some issues. Her not being able to use her back legs wouldn't be due to her weight. More than likely that growth is putting pressure on her spine and causing her not to be able to use her legs. She should definitely see a vet to have the mass examined. Especially if it's putting pressure on her spine.

You're right I'm going to take her as soon as I can. Earlier I said it wrong I didn't mean she couldn't use her back legs she does she tries but she's just so fat that I wish you could see her she does use them though she moves them but I also noticed her ribs seem to stick out weird on one side so I am going to take her to the vet soon

Ok well that is a relief that she can actually move them.

How much does she weigh? If you could get it in grams we'd be able to compare her to some other dragons here

But still, please do at least get it looked at, hopefully it's nothing serious but we won't know until we get it checked.
