That's so cute him chomping down on his greens. I love watching them eat with their big mouths. Narley is so darn cute! Is Pushkin still head bobbing? .
Just a quick update! Both dragons are doing well, though I've noticed that Pushkin has a little droopiness around the eyes now too! Not sure if it's coincidence or what - the vet wasn't concerned about Narley's, though, just said that they would keep an eye on them during future visits. Both still have great appetites!
Pushkin is still head bobbing at everything and Narley is still waving at everything! I actually moved Narley to another room today, and that seemed to have calmed them down.
I had Pushkin out the other day and he decided to climb my plant - he LOVES climbing! He actually jumped up into the pot and then tried to climb up the branches! He looked really cute so I took some photos!
It's really funny seeing how different Narley is from Pushkin! Narley loooves his veggies, hates being pet on the head (Pushkin loves it), and has absolutely no fear when it comes to being held. He can be held backwards, have three of his legs dangling... he just doesn't care!
At night, I've been letting him cuddle on my chest... he'll lie there for an hour without moving, but his eyes will be open. Then, at some point, he'll just kind of tumble off and try to burrow underneath the small of my back or a pillow or whatever is around and immediately close his eyes - like he's saying, okay, cool, time to sleep! He's done this several times now! I took some photos of what he looked like once I stood up - he didn't seem too happy that I moved...
Thank you!!! I adore him!!! Pushkin is doing so much better now that they are separated - no more head bobbing from him and no waving from Narley, so I think putting them in separate rooms was the best thing to do.
I took some more photos of them today! Both are great at seeking out cozy places to sleep.
Pushkin was basking by my window, then decided to take a nap:
And some of Narley playing!
After all that running around, I put Narley on my sofa and he immediately began tunneling under a stack of pillows. About 15 minutes later, I lifted a pillow to find this:
On a side note, I've been curious about what Narley will look like as he continues to grow...
I have a feeling it'll be something like this - same orange head, bluish body!
Maybe a bit more yellow than this - this is Narley's dad:
It is really strange, isn't it? And it's funny you should say that - I took him to Petsmart to show him to some of the girls there that know me, and one said - Oh, his body is in shed! And I was like, no actually, not at all! Only his tail!
I didn't know his colors were like that until after I had picked him up and he'd shed - the photo I received from the breeder showed him to be pale yellow all over. It was definitely him in the photo, so it was either the lighting or shedding. He's so full of little quirks! :love5:
Most people think dragons are only tan. I always have people ask where in the world I found an orange one. When I tell them I have 3 orange ones they seem shocked.
Narley really has some awesome colors. I absolutely love how his head is a different color.
Hahaha really?! I have seen a lot of tan ones, but I've probably seen MORE orange ones to be honest! I think nutrition has a big impact on their color, and a lot of people probably only buy or see the cheap mass-bred ones from Petsmart or Petco... but then, I say that, and Pushkin is a Petco baby...
I love Narley's orange head too! It suits him!
