I’ve just noticed this grey patch on my beardie’s tail and wanted to know what it is. He hates it being touched and either whips me or runs away whenever I do. He is about a year old and has been shedding recently, but only on his face and beard. Is it stuck shed or anything along those lines? If so, could it possibly be related to a lack of appetite (for greens)?

Also a little grey along the side of it as well

I’m not too worried but I just wanted to check with people here as i couldn't find anything about it elsewhere.

It just looks like a patch of scales thickening and getting ready to shed. I don't see any cause for concern.

Thanks for the reply. I had no real worry or concern as he has the same thing on his leg. Just never seen it come in patches like that before or that thick so just thought I may as well ask here.

Yeah ,that's totally fine, I've seen that type of thing many times. It's always good to ask though. :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
