Hi all,
Wallace, my seven-month-old beardie, is gearing up for his first Minnesota winter! We get very very dry winters here, not only because all the moisture freezes out of the air but because the heater dries the air in the house even more. I know beardies are native to a semi-desert climate and so don't need much humidity, but I'm wondering if in winter it might be beneficial to have a water dish in his cage for a little boost. I've heard that beardie fountains, which simulate running water, can actually entice them to drink, too. He's great about eating his misted veggies and gets daily baths but I don't want him to get dehydrated during the dry season. Thoughts?
