I had my dragon put down, because she seemed to have a bad quality of life. I would like to know your opinions. Please be honest.

The lizard was 8 years old. She was being given SQ fluids every other day. She was also being given a pill for her liver. She sat in the corner away from the light. She had a dark coloration. She would sometimes gasp. She ate some things normally, but many things she would just ignore.

She was being given treatment for her liver failure. She developed two large sacs of fat in between her mouth and throat which made it hard to breathe.

She seemed a little more energetic when I handled her, but not much. Other then that, she sat in the corner of her cage. The temperature was about 100 degrees F.

I'm sorry, I just realized this should be on the health forum. Is there any way to delete it?

It sounds like she was suffering and it must have been a very difficult decision to make. I'm sorry to hear of your loss =(

I agree sounds like she was suffering. It's such a difficulty decision when it comes to the animals we love but we really have to look at their quality of life.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
