Waking up

We got our 2nd dragon just a few days ago, and one thing I've noticed is that...when I go to their vivs and turn on their lights, they both wake up differently. I turn lights on between 7:45-8am.

When Yoshi's lights are turned on, he pretty much opens his eyes, lays where he's at for a few minutes, but then gets up on his basking area.

When I turn Aurora's lights on, she will continue to lay there and try to keep sleeping.

Does anyone else have a dragon that likes to 'Sleep in' ?

Every dragon is different. I have heard of dragons that sleep in, but neither of mine do. However, When Maya gets up, she goes straight to the food. Chief takes at least an hour to warm up and stretch before he will touch his food.

Thanks for the response. I realize that I shouldn't compare one dragon's routine/actions to another.

hi my beardie yoshi does the same he has a little bed and when i turn his lights on if it wasnt for me moving his blanket out in the morning and physically putting him on his basking log hed never get up.... i must have to keep putting him back on his log at least 3 times in the morning lol....dont worry some beardies are just lazy

Yesterday I literally had to pick Aurora up and put her on her basking spot. She definitely proved she had energy last night. lol My husband got her our and she started running all over the place. It was the 2nd time we had her out, because she has only been here a week. The first time we got her out she was calm, but last night she was in explore mode. She is the same age as our other dragon Yoshi, so I assumed that she would be calm since she was a little older like how Yoshi is.

yeah if u have only had him a wk its understandable yoshi would always be inquizative and now we have had him 8 wks hes calmed down loads and a moody teenager lol
