WOW Treehorn! That's nice!

If you don't mind me asking, what are the dimensions?
And, is that foam board combo difficult to clean any?

The viv I got from a local reptile store. I forget the brand name and I took the sticker off but I can find out next time I buy crickets.
It was something like $260 I think. But all the craft supplies and little bits and pieces over the last month or so, I would hate to add it all up.

I am worried about cleaning but she has only been in a day so not enough hands on experience yet. She pooped on one of the rocks at the top which I was able to take out and wash. I am trying to get her to go in the bath each day and hope other times she will go in the water bowl "she likes doing that".

I plan on feeding her in her old 10gal viv - but she has a different opinion and is on a hunger strike.

P.S. It is 18"x48" and I bought the base seperately at an aquarium store for $180.00

Treehorn,
she will come around. I feed Kiku crix from a 10 gal , works good. she is just a lil stressed from the move. Give her a few days and she will be fine, but keep offering any way. If you give a bath every day , thats a good way to train them to poo in it.
Your viv looks AWSOME ! You did a wonderful job on it.

I finally got my husband to build the new viv for our babies. They are very happy in their new homes. The dimensions for the entire unit are 6' tall 4' wide and 2' deep. The individual vivs are 3x4x2. We are currently working on the decoration for the top viv so it is a little bare at the moment. We are making a castle of styrofoam and grout.

And here are some pics of the happy occupants.
These pics are of Spike. He is mommys baby and is about 10 weeks old.

This pic is of Zeus. He is one of our rescues. Along with Hera who you will meet in the next pic. He is approximately 5 weeks old. His tail was recently broken (if you look closely you can see it in the pic). I have not dealt with this before with my other dragons and am unsure about how to procede. I am currently looking for a reptile vet in our area. I have contacted all our local vets and have had no luck and no leads on where to go from here. We live in a VERY remote area of nothern PA and it appears there are no reptile vets for hundreds of miles. ARGH :angry5: . He has been with us for two weeks and the tail does not appear to be dead or dying. It also does not appear to bother him. However, I am afraid to touch the tip for fear of hurting him. If anyone has some suggestions please feel free to message me. I am hoping he will be fine.

And finally is Hera. Our other rescue. She is also approximately 5 weeks old. She also has a tail nip. But the end is gone and appears to be healed quite nicely. She is sporting some really bad stress marks but we are hoping that they will clear up now that she is in her forever home. These two poor babies have been moving around a lot in their short life. They were with the breeder who is unknown, their previous owner who knew nothing about caring for a dragon (improper cage, lighting, heat, food, substrate,no hydration, you name it) Thankfully for these guys she was unable to keep them and we adopted them. They had one very long trip by car (6 hours) to our home and then finally one last move to their new vivs. We have had them two weeks and they are growing very quickly. They also have missing toes which I assume is from being housed at the breeders as these have been healed for some time. The previous owner had no knowledge of what happened. She said they were like that when she got them.

Wow... very beautiful Vivs everyone. And 2 thumbs up for the rescue of those 2 babies- I'm sure they will be happy (My Falkor would love a new home like that... hopefully we'll have a homemade one by Christmas for him)!

Here is a viv I worked very hard on for about a week and 1/2. Thanks to those who posted the false rock articles and instructions. I have recently removed the sand and replaced it with coconut husk which gives the substrate a nice dark brown contrast compared to the rocks.

I love that its a piece of furniture. Thats what I will do, make a viv out of something that is or looks like a piece of furniture.

Looks awsome btw. Just fyi, any loose substrate can harbor bacteria. I would use carpet or tile. Or make it out of the stuff the walls are. Just my opinion.

great job !

Here's my viv. Any suggestions for floorwork that won't cost me a fortune? I'm tired of the paper towels, and I'm a bit wary about sand. I heard that tile is good, but my dad doesn't want to fork out the cash for that (yet he has the money to buy a 600 dollar dryer and washer... ).

lol i Know how u feel. But you can try repti carpet they have at pestmart ! They range from $20 - $30 depending on what size. But if you're LOW LOW LOW on cash ?? I know this may sound umm.. pretty cheesy.. but I used a towel. It actually looked very nice and comfy and MJ LOVED IT !! She loved to snuggle in it ! The only thing though if you're feeding your beardie crickets in her viv.. its a pain in the butt as they hide under the towels, etc. But that's the cheapest way.. plus if it gets dirty you can just wash it in your dad's brand new washer lol. And I think it looks better that newspaper (some people prefer so) .

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
