Janie....the MVB's should not be at an angle. They need to be positioned level(straight up and down). If at an angle they can prematurely burn out! MVB's are very touchy bulbs!
AH HA ! Thought I forgot something, and apparently I did ! Will fix that in a jiff, but am feeding Orion currently so that will have to wait a bit.
Thanks so much ! Don't want that thing to burn out before it needs to !
Janie.
Dawn no need for the doctor, yes they were different, the link from photobucket was being difficult, kept posting Yardley and his Castle. So I had to finagle it a bit.
Janie.
Thanks Janie....was really worried there for a second! I knew I saw two totally different photos. That has happened a few times to me on here, only with words..... til now. I even had one guy change his entire post word for word while I was replying...I came back to it after I posted and was like  "What just happened?"...So yeah....it is definitely a mind trip! Thanks for giving me my sanity back(what little I had left).
My other half made the box for me it measures 5 feet long by 2 feet high by 2 feet deep approx. glass sliding doors on the front and glass ends.
The interior is all hand made out of big blocks of polystyrene that I carved and constructed different features. Then all of the polystyrene was covered with four different shades of tile grout for the rock effect and sealed with a water based sealer. Also used was foam in a can. Looking at the viv, to the far left I have even gone to the trouble of building a water fall............as I only have just purchased a baby BD on Sunday last week, we haven't started it up in the viv yet........but works really well.
As you can tell we really wanted our viv to be not only a home for Bambam but a feature in our home.
Shona, what an outstanding effort you and your other half did !
Did I see you say waterfall ? Is that like water coming down type water fall ?
For dragons, that is really not a great idea.
They can defecate in the water, and you would have to spend lots and lots of time cleaning.
It would raise the humidity up more than recommended, leaving the dragon to be prone to upper respiratory issues.
Janie.
Thanks Janie, I had read that as well so probably wont be running water very frequently. I have made is so that is was easy to clean as well but sometimes it is better to be safe that sorry. As for the humidity it is in the cool end of the viv and there is also ventilation right above the waterfall. Thanks for the comments as a new owner I am so happy that I have found such an informative forum with such helpful people.

I was going to say the same thing, pleeeeeeeease be careful of the humidity, although the look of it would be fantastic, waterfalls are really a life threatening object in many ways, it's never found in a beardie viv.
Sorry,
Again, just love the whole look of the viv, Kudo's!

thanks alot. haha was about to post a tinypic of it. you guys are all so helpful. hope everyone likes it. cost about 170 to make all everything but one of the uvb fixtures.
Can you guys tell me how or who I can go to to get my lighting up in my custom tank. I bought the uvb fixture but theres all these tiny wires and I haven't a clue what to do..
Just finished new home for my little miss muffet.
The tank is from IKEA coffee table, I believe that the size is just over 55 gal (40L X 20W X 16H). For heat and UVB source I'm using 100W CHE and 60W regular house bulb. For UVB I'm using reptisun 10.0. So far the temp is good, around 100-110 on the hot side (on the left) and 80 on the cool side. I'm still playing with the heat....
For flooring I'm using linoleum tiles on the bottom and topped with slate tile from home depot (big and small size) and natural slate (for the side, since the tile won't fit). I don't seal the tile with grout, so I can wash them for deep cleaning.
Here are some pics, any suggestions? critics?
