thanks and yes it is styro.

the only concern right now I am having is after 2 hours of the heat lamp on the mod podge, it feels kinda tacky. the 5th coat of MP has been sitting on there for at least a week before I turned the heat lamp on tonight.

the 150 watt light is about a 12-14 inches away from the first landing there. hmmm

is this normal for anyone else using MP? temp is about 102-103 ish according to my exo-terra thermometer I have sitting on the first landing spot

UPDATE.. ok just checked now and my thermometer is off the charts. its showing its past 120 degrees?! wtf?
Its a 150 watt bulb at just over a foot away from temp reading. should I go to 100watt or 120??

Hi everyone,

I am new here and new to keeping beardies. My girlfriend and i got Pogo back at the end of September we had been looking for a long time for the perfect one as i was adamant i wanted a red one.

Anyway here is her(we think) viv. we started with a woodchip substrate as thats what all the local shops use but we didnt like how easy it was for to eat so we have gone to tiles and a bit of sand.

We re not too happy with the general layout and are planning on a re-design so she has more space to hunt because she is rubbish at it.

I'm so excited to finally be able to post here!! Haha.

This is 3 month old Geo's sliding front 67 gallon tank. 36 x 24 x 18. It has real slate tile on top of non-sticky shelf liner on the right hand side, and non-sticky vinyl on the left.
I have 2 reptisun 10.0's, an 18" as well as a 24" on top with holes cut into the mesh so that the bulbs are unobstructed, plus his 75 watt uva basking light, and a CHE. Today was his first full day inside the upgrade tank, and he seems pretty happy!
I looked at this thread A LOT back when I was deciding what I wanted to eventually do.


P.S. don't mine the temps. It was still fairly early, but they're usually at 106/82. 8)

Mine is a pretty basic set up.... 40 breeder zilla critter cage, tile substrata, uvb mounted inside with some strong Velcro type stuff from walmart called duel lock, a hide and a basking spot. My basking light and heat light just sits on top of the screen sliding top and a custom back ground made from cardboard and construction paper lol

I have left it quite open as Ronnie likes to run about whilst she still has plenty of objects to climb on.

That's an awesome root in Ronnies viv, whered you buy/find that? Or did you make it?

Thanks i bought the root at a local garden centre.

Was it something you purchased as a plant and you cut it off? Or did it come as it looks now? What was it being sold as/for?
