my beardie who is one year old wasn't eating very much so we took him to the vet and they said he didn't have parasites and gave me an anti-inflammatory for his stomach. he has been beginning to eat more! Yay! anyways, the vet told me to get calcium without d3 and vitamins to dust his food. i only have calcium with d3 that i have been dusting with. i would like to know you guy's opinions, and a good recommendation for calcium without d3 if that is what i need to get! thanks

(P.S. my beardie loves pinkies as a treat!! i thought he wouldn't like them!)

Its very important that he has two supplements, the calcium without d3 and multivitamins. Personally i like the repti-cal supplements. And you can still use the calcium with d3 if you want however not as much or it could cause an overdose. I usually dust Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday with calcium without d3, and then Thursday and Friday with calcium with d3. And then Sunday and Saturday with multivitamins.

However that would be for a dragon that eats every day and is less than 20+ months. Usually for older beardies that are 20+ months i usually slow their feeding down to every other day so then calcium is only three times a week and multivitamins once a week. Usually Monday and Wednesday for calcium without d3, and then Friday with calcium with d3, and then for multivitamins usually Sunday.

Also dont feed too many pinkies as they are almost entirely fat. Personally i would feed only one every 3 months or so. However for a gravid female probably once a week maybe since they loose quite a bit of weight during this time.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
