Vets

I live in the UK, does anyone know if most vets cater for reptiles? I'm looking into vets and pet insurance, but am a bit stuck with what to do.
Can anyone suggest anywhere on the internet I can get information from? Thanks.

Just look in your local phone book or the yellow pages,
depending on where you live...theres diffrent sorts.
i use a donaldson and parteners theres 5 in my area but only 1 looks into reptiles

ok thanks i was going to have a little ring round today and speak to some vets will ask when i actually go to buy a beardie too, see if they know anyone.... the more people i ask, the more chance i am of getting somewhere! Thanks for replying

Where abouts are you from?

I know i live within distance of two reptile vets, one is horrible and i would never take a lizard there - even though its recommended, but the other is very good. Try ringing the local animal hospital, they should be able to tell you where to go.

As for pet insurance, i never got any, i just make sure there is an emergency fund for such occasions. There is only one company i know of, and its £10 a month. I f i just put that away, it covers all the bills and more (there arnt too many bills and they havent been expensive at all)

Hey Buggsy, im on the essex/suffolk/cambs border, so about an hour from cambridge, 30 mins from colchester. I've been told of a good one in cambridge so thats where i would probably go if i had any problems, as they're meant to know their stuff

i actually grew up in colchester, and one of the best in the country is there, clone valley. I live in leeds now but had to take gizmo last year while we were visiting, so if you could stand to 30 min drive i would go there!
