Very aggressive

I have a new beardie dragon, he seemed so sweet when i got him. He jumped on the rim of the cage and climbed right on my hand. I have had him about 2 weeks now and he could careless if i picked him up. I have him in the bedroom and everytime i pass him he slants down , and 80% of the time i go to pick him up he runs from me and then will open his mouth at me. Totally freaks me out! He also lays his head down alot. He will run across the tank then lay his head down... just not sure.i have never seen such an aggressive dragon before... not sure what to do...

my girl went through that wehn I got her. She was ok for a week, then she would hiss, got bit once and ran from me. It all takes time. Took about 2 months for my girl to get tame. I just spent a lot of time just putting my hand in there and talking to her. Some beardies don't take as long to tame down as others

it sounds like to me he still need more time to get use to you so he wont see you as a threat sometimes like you said its only been about 2 weeks so give him a little more time and he should calm down sometimes bearded dragons have different moods also like they dont feel like being touched they want to be by thier self the samething with us if we feel like we want to be alone we dont want no one bothering us but just give him a little of alone time then try and take him out the tank hope this helps
