Veggies? NO NO NO!

Neither of my guys have eaten their veggies in..maybe three weeks. They are ALLL about their live food, good weights etc... And they used to eat their veggies, but never A Lot and not consistenly.

So when should you worry about that? And what the heck can I do?

Give veggies and greens in the morning and protein food at later around 4 or 5 p.m.. If they are hungry before that, they will start eating their veggies and greens. That's how my girl eats. She may eat a lot of veggies or a little a time, but she has gotten use to the veggies and greens, that even after eating 30-40 large crickets, she still eats the left over greens. Anyway greens and veggies should be given first thing in the morning anyway since it takes a long time to digest it and temperature at night may not be hot enough for digesting them since your beardie will be sleeping and not bask inorder to digest them.

Some beardeds are just not veggies eaters. I have read that someone had hatchlings eating greens a few days after they hatched and have older adults that won't touch greens and veggies at all.

Hi there,
my little one has been waging a war on veggies since I got her.
she will never munch her way through salad so in order to get veggies into her i turned to trickery!
i sprinkle a few mealworms ontop of her salad. the wriggling attracts her attention and if you slice your veggies up into fairly small strips they will pick up the veggies aswell.
another trick i use is handfeeding her supers which i wrap around some veg.
its time consuming sure, but it helps to get some veg into them.
