Urgent! Please help me!

So this Friday we're driving out to Brianhead Utah and there's still snow up there so it's obviously very cold but since we're only gonna be there from Friday night to Saturday evening it won't be long enough for the bad weather to take a toll on my beardie if i brought him but because charmanders never been around snow before I need to keep him warm during the day! However for the majority of the day aswell as during the entire night we will be staying in a cabin so he's all set there with a heating pad and a cat bad in a small cat kennel, but the one question i need answering is, even though blankets don't provide any heat for beardies, do they atleast shield them from the cold?? Bcuz as much as i love small vacations and getaways i hate leaving charmander at home, like everyday after school when I get home he's a mess, he's always so finicky and i see the results of him practically turning the inside of the tank upside down in what I assume to be frustration of me leaving for so long, I hate to see charmander so upset, he's like a son to me I love him and he loves me and we can't stand to be separated so if I take him with us is there a way to protect him from the freezing temperatures that is even strong enough to kill humans? Please give me some ideas!

So you are taking him with you and want to know if blankets can keep him warm ? Sorry if I misunderstood. If that is the question the answer is no, blankets can only keep mammals warm because mammals produce body heat. The reptiles rely on a heat source to warm them up, they don't produce body heat . Wrapping them in a towel after a soak doesn't warm them either as some owners think it does. You could take a plastic storage tote and heat lamps if you're sure that the power won't go out. Other than that Charmander will be perfectly fine at home for a day + a half , maybe even safer. Even if he tears things up a bit you know he's just having a beardie party while you're gone.
