Updates to my custom tank

Finally painted the walls and need to paint the rock area now.. not sure how dark I want it, as I already like the current color, but I decided to not tape anything off for it so I just over sprayed...

Thoughts?

After walls were done, I prep taped them for the rock...

Personally i agree, i like the color it is now! And wow! I love the tank!!! I think i may try something like that in my beardies tank when i redo it soon!

Here is the closer to final product... my painters tape ripped some fo the wall paint off, so a few minor touch-ups... but I think it's done... ish.


Not completely sold on the color.. but I do like it... I will see if it still smells like paint tonight after work and put Sonne in there and see how he likes it.

Started with the tank being made where I work, out of a Co-Polymer plastic welded together. Then got foam blocks and glued them together with some all-purpose caulking and tooth picks, then shaped them with steak knives, hack saws butter knives and dry-wall cutters.. lol then I took a heat gun I use, and just lightly melted the whole thing to firm it up. Then I got a bag of colored grout and just started to slap it on and cover all the foam, shaping as I went. And viola! haha

It really isn't that hard at all.. for me it was just finding the time between my kids, wife and video games.. lmao
