Update on Hugo

Hugo is now 10 weeks old. He weighs 47 grams, and is 9.5 inches long. Average 80 bugs daily, and is eating the veggies, dragon bites, and cactus. Still has the sweetest personality!!!!

Hugo is 3 months old. He is growing sooo fast!! I am already making plans for a larger viv. He weighs 83 grams and is 11 inches long. I had to switch him over to more crickets, than Dubias. He was eating all the baby Dubias. I need to let some of the Dubias grow..
He has discovered Butter Worms, and of course, loves them. His daily outing in the sunshine has deepened his orange colors. I found a new sun basking buddy!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures:

Thanks everyone!!!.....my first dragon & I am so pleased with his progress. I did a lot of research, and reading this forum, which helped tremendously. At the rate he is growing, I may have to give him one of my bedrooms..LOL!!! :roll:

Another update: Hugo weighs 119 grams and is 12 inches long. His hatch date was Jan 2. I have already placed an order to CustomCages for a 4x2x2, since he is growing so fast. Here is the latest picture, and pardon the tail (it is getting ready to shed). I have noticed it is hard to get a picture without a partial shed going on somewhere on his body. :?

Well, today Hugo is 14 weeks. He weighs 181 grams, and is 14" long. He started a major shed three days ago, and has been off his food, except for an occasional butter worm. I double checked all the temps, and also did a fecal check....I am such a worrisome MOM. :roll: Everything was fine.

I had a scare yesterday...I have been taking him out to bask in the real sun. He always sits with me, or gets in his little beach chair. Well, something spooked him...he jumped off the chair and ran into the nearby bushes. I did not realize they could move that fast!!! :shock:
After me chasing him, in and out of the bushes, I finally got him. Oh, he was mad, and I am sure scared. He gave me a black beard, and open mouth stance. I really can't blame him, since I know I was scaring him. He is fine, though. Still the sweetest little boy. But a big lesson learned....he will always have a harness and leash on, when we go outside. :wink:

I tried to take my Scarlet outside without her harness and my husband forbade it. He said she could get away from me and there are way too many places for her to slip into and we would never get to her. He's right for sure. I'm glad you got him back out of the bushes! I love their open-mouthed threat, because they really do look impressive and I can imagine it is a great defense in the wild.

Hugo is getting really big! For reference, Scarlet was 133g at 14" and Ginger was 155g at 13.5". He looks a bit like Ginger, too.
