In my last thread as some of you know I was talking about how scared, wild and aggressive my (9 month?) old cupid is. I want to thank you all so much for your ideas and advice!
Since her bath Cupid has started shedding like I have never seen before! I have never bathed her before since I got her in February. I had been told to put a smal water dish in her enclosure and never knew I was supposed to bather her. She seemed to lover her bath lastnight and even let me have a little cuddle before bed time :love5: without trying to eat me . So with that and the dry skin looking so bad I thought I would give her another lil bath tonight. She loved it even more! I read somewhere to use a soft toothbrush to help with shedding when needed so i used that just a bit on her. and skin started crunching and flaking off so much, then peeling! She feels so much softer? (un-crispy??) After her path she allowed a bit of a cuddle, back and head petting time! (with one toweled hand holding her and one un gloved hand petting her - for all of u who saw the pic of me holding her with the giant leather gloves lol) She seemed to enjoy all that skin coming off. She relaxed for a while then I wrapped her in a blankie and tucked her in bed!
I am soooo amazed at what two nights of using all of the advice i have received from this community has done for me and my Dragon!
She looks and feels better. Her colors are brighter... more orange!! , and though she is nippy and still has fits from time to time, she is learning that I love her and am trying to learn how to better care for her. I think between us spending more time together and melearning more how to pick her up. along her shedding and enclosure changes I have made, her attitude is changing... and so is mine!
