Types of Wood That Are Safe For Beardies?

I'm thinking about building my own enclosure completely surrounded by wood except for the front will be glass, I know a lot of types of wood are pressure treated with cyanide etc. I was wondering what types of wood would be safe to use for a Beardie enclosure. Thanks for your help!

You can use just about any wood EXCEPT the following: Redwood, ceder, and unsealed pine (the pine oil is the problem, so if its sealed you can use it). Basically, any wood that is naturally resistant to insects and decay can't be used.
Oak or birch are good woods to use. They look good, are strong, and can be readily found.

Pine and Cedar both are ok if completely sealed but imo not worth the risk. I actually made mine of MDF, but its heavy as sin and I think I put 2 coats of sealant on the exterior and 4 on the interior just to be safe. Melamine is basically MDF with a plastic coating and also ok to use if you caulk the seams of the boards and seal the exposed edges. But Oak and Birch are good and look very nice stained if that's the direction you were wanting to go (definitely seal it if stained though).

So which would you all recommend that's best for price and the safety of the Dragon.

MDF, melamine, oak, birch are all equally safe when sealed. MDF is ugly and very heavy but cheapest. Melamine is less ugly but just as heavy and second cheapest. Oak and Birch are both nice looking wood, but more expensive. At this point its your call on weight, appearance, and cost. Not a safety issue.
