I’ve noticed that when I pet my beardies head she kinda twitches her head and breathes a little harder. When I stop she stops. Does it mean she doesn’t like being pet? She’s not trying to bite or run away.

Can you review your tank setup with us, such as the type/brand of UVB, supplementation used
& temperatures so we can be sure everything is correct.
It sounds like she probably doesn't like being petted on the head yet, or it tickles. How old is
your dragon?

Are your fingers/ hands cold perhaps …. would you enjoy having someone put their icicle fingers / hands on your bare back , chest or other sensitive areas....

Hi Tracie the brand of my uvb is zilla reptile habitat lighting UVB, the temperature was around 95 but I did recently try a different brand for her hear lamp which made the temperature rise to 100 but it’s the same wattage.. could that be it? And she turns a year in a couple weeks.

Zilla brand MVBs , UV compacts, T8 and T5HO tubes are at best 2nd rate , they are Chinese knockoff and not recommended because of the poor quality quartz glass used (leaks UVC through inconsistancies) and the UV spectrum produced is very poor quality.

Better off returning it to the shop for an exchange to the equivalent size tube rated at 10%UVB or 12%UVB with Zoo Med, or Exo Terra, or Arcadia Reptile stamped on the tube.
