Turning darker on belly, but will lighten too.

So I could feet the whole subject in so I'll explain here. He has only eaten one cricket in 24 hrs I think. He had strands of skin coming off around his mouth, and a patch of skin under his lower mouth that lost some skin and I think I can see skin coming off around his mouth alittle more but I'm not sure. Also, he seems less active, and his belly turns alittle darker sometimes but will lighten up. Also I think his mouth has turned alittle whiter on the top and my a tad yellow. But I'll post a pic. I don't know what's going on.

It looks like he's just shedding. Sometimes this puts them off of food and can make them a bit more irritable than usual. He looks healthy and alert so it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Okay great. And how long does it take for them to start shedding a lot of skin? Cause after that little bit of skin that came off, really nothing else happened for about 2 days

It varies. Sometimes it's pretty quick and some shed cycles take a week or two. When they're little they shed quite often as well. As they approach full size their shed cycles are less frequent and often patchy.

Unlike other animals (like snakes) beardies don't shed all at once but in patches. My beardie shedded his back, than about a week later his head, and is just now shedding his tail.

Awesome. I'll just feel alittle better when it's more obvious that it's shed lol. But thanks for the help!

In my experience it's usually the tail and head first and it seems to drag by over a week or so and as soon as that's off her whole body sheds off like a sweater. Then the last few patches come off in flakes. Can take a few days total or a couple weeks. I tend to up Maggie's bathing when she starts shedding too to help.

So update. He shed his tail about 4 days ago and hasn't shown signs of shedding anywhere else yet? Is that normal?
