Turkistan Roaches (Info and Colony pics)

Has anyone of heard of Turkistan roaches or Blatta Lateralis as feeders for beardies?
I was searching for dubia roaches online and I found these roaches and they are only $10 for 1000!
I am currently starting a dubia colony so I was just curious about using these as feeders while it grows.

I am in the process of raising Turks, they breed faster then the Dubia roach and a bit more lean. Very fast but, otherwise a great feeder.

I started doing some research on starting a colony of these for feeders and they seem to be all around better than dubias.
This is the fastest breeding roach of all the feeder roach species.
The only concern I have is how they look!! They look like a common house roach, bleh! It was hard enough bringing the dubias in, I dont know about having two roach colonies! haha

Same site I used when I started. Found my roaches preferred dog treats over the cat food though. I went for a natural source dog treat with good protein content.

Where did you order your turks to start the colony? The website I found would not tell me how much shipping was going to be and I emailed but got no response.

I have a colony going, they are incredibly fast but Mojo loves them when rotated out with other feeders or occasionally dusted. They are the only feeder Mojo will eat dusted any more but even then not every time they are offered this way. I care for them same as the dubia.

sorryfor the dp, I ordered from the place that has them $10 for 1000 I believe shipping was another $10. Came packaged ok but open the box INSIDE the bin, they are loose inside.

Its ok.. Thank you! I think we are going to continue our Dubia colony and start a turk colony and then occasion I might order some worms or pick up crickets at the local pet store. At least he'll have a bit of variety. Im pretty sure that is the same site I was gonna get them on but I was dumb and couldnt find how much shipping was and its on the front page!! Lol

Oh and by the way, they are out of every size except for the just hatched ones right now. Not sure for how long.

No problem.. Just discovered the reason the shipping would not come up is because I live in Tn and they can not ship here. I knew dubias were illegal in Fl but I guess turks are illegal in Fl and Tn :[

Aw I hate that. When I had snakes I found out ASFs are illigal in MO. For those who do not know ASF = African Soft Furred Rat.
