I have noticed during the last three to four feeds I have given my dragon (live feeds) his tummy is pulsating whilst he is eating. It almost looks like he's going to be sick, but he continues to eat and seems to still enjoy it. Very shortly after his feed the tummy pulsating seems to stop and it doesn't happen at any other time from what I have observed.
Some further detail on his health and routine:
We've had him for just 2 weeks now, he was being fed a maximum of eight medium locusts a day at the pet store, we increased this to 10 a day and then recently just this last weekend gone by we moved him onto medium dubia roaches of which he's eating 20-25 of each day. He has a healthy appetite and is fed in the morning and then the evening. He is also offered a varied salad daily which he doesn't often eat however his meals are all dusted daily alternating between vitamin and calcium supplement.
He also eats a handful of the very small calci worms each day and these do not seem to trigger the tummy pulsating.
His stool is fine and consists of a majority solid area with a small liquid part and a healthy looking urate. (Sorry for the gross detail!)
He is approximately 6-8 months old and measures around 36cms weighing 281g. (We are judging his age on what the pet store told us so it could be inaccurate.
The rest of his health seems generally fine, he is alert, bright eyed (does seem somewhat lazy but can move fast when he wants to) he has no abnormal lumps or bumps the only thing I have noticed is his tail is significantly darker from about half way down but there is no lumps or bumps or apparent injuries so we are thinking this is just the sign that a shed is on the way.
He seems to be basking plenty his warm spot is between 37-42 degrees and cool spot around 28 (we are purchasing some fans this weekend to better regulate this)
Sorry for the information overload I just thought it better to give too much info than too little.
Any help is truly appreciated thanks.
