if u need any help with that let me know!

right now i have an aquarium tube fixture that sits on the screen. How do i separate the part of it that the tube light plugs into from the rest of the fixture so that i can mount it directly on the glass?

Also if i do this, is it possible that he gets too close to the light. with my setup right now, im kind of afraid he'll try jumping at it (he constantly jumps at the thermometers mounted on the glass).

He still wont let me scoop him up. Since installing his reptisun, he's stopped pooing and also he has started hiding under his log a lot which he never used to do.

Im not sure if this is related to the change in uvb or not but he is behaving slightly different.

You are discribing my issues with Repto to a T! He hates me to get him out of his viv! Once out he does better and he finally decided to sit in my hand. He hates his bath and I use that time to help him get used to my hand. I dont mind to chase him a little when I know he has to have a bath and he settles down quickly after he is in my hand. He stays puffed and black bearded until I gently lower him into the water. I gradually add warm water as his bath cools and when it is just below his shoulders I can slide my fingers slowly under his belly. He uses my palm as an island to feel secure in the water. I have been working with him for about 3 months and I understand your frustration. He also just started taking food from my palm in his viv but now doesnt seem to be in a hurry to back off my hand. Keep up the good work and know you arent alone.

Me and Critter were in the same situation. I had to force the issue a couple of times per week to get him in the tub and thats where we made the most progress. After he had soaked for 15 or 20 mins I would slowly add water to the tub until it was at his max comfort level. Then I could ease my hand under him and it gave him a measure of security. He came to associate me scooping him up with security and now I can scoop him up off his basking log. He still puffs up but he allows me to pick him up with a minimum of fuss. Dont give up.

Just my 2 cents... I have 3 beardies that I have tamed in the same way. Daily baths at the same time every day without fail followed up with 20 min or so of 'playtime' after bathtime. In the bathroom I sit in the middle of the room and let them run amuck and offer my hand so that they can chose to run up my arm or not. At first I carried each one by a critter keeper to and from the bathroo now they either travel willingly in my hand or on my shoulder. It took anywhere from a week to a month (each one being different to have them used to me but it worked on all 3... Hope that helps :)

I, too, have been having issues with my baby Deeno. I got him as a baby about 3 months ago, they said he was about a month then so he's four months now. He lets me pick him up (although it's a fight) but then if I sit with him on my hand or arm, he'll sit for a few minutes and then he'll try to run away. He's so tiny, I'm not sure if it's okay to just let him roam when he's so small (although I don't have any other pets to hurt him). I do sit on the bathroom floor with him already after baths but he never tries to run from me in the bathroom and I get sick of sitting there for 30-45 minutes every time I bathe him. Once he's to a point where he behaves for me in the bathroom (as he does now) is it okay for me to sit with him in my living room or bedroom while I watch TV or read or whatever and just let him roam if he decides to? Or is that too dangerous? I know other people say they wrap theirs in a shirt and just hold him but Deeno HATES being covered up. He goes ballistic if I try to cover him with a towel or my hands and doesn't calm down until the top of his body isn't covered anymore. I'm just not sure if simply letting him roam is too much for him since he's so small?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
