Getting shelving built for my rescue efforts this weekend. Will be big enough to hold four large 40 gallon breeders or slightly longer, with lighting suspended above. If I have smaller animals, it could hold 6-8. Very excited to have everything setup soon.

Shelving is done and I posted more pics on the link in the first post. Going to be posting a video on youtube later today, just have to install the stabalizing panels that the carpenter who cut the wood gave me, he was just worried about them holding steady, so he built a fix for me :) Amazing guy, just had the wood laying around so he gave me everything for free, I just had to buy screws. My $20 solid cedar shelves, love it.

It's funny that you would mention that ReptileAddiction, because we just found out that she's about to lay. Based on what most sites say about the gestation time, we didn't have them yet when they bred, if they are fertile eggs. I have to say I'm not surprised, the guy had all three in that 40 gallon tank. I had all three separated within a few days, and today I noticed her scratching away at the floor like a lunatic. Tiny poops/urates as well. She has a decent sized lay box now and is going at it like crazy. There are definite lumps in her stomach and I am looking information to help her pass the eggs safely, since she's still underweight and only a year and a half old.

Hi there....do you have a pic of the female ? I see one picture in the group that has a saggy belly, is that her ? She' doesn't appear to be in bad shape, so she will hopefully do just fine. Just be sure to give her a good drink afterwards, if it's very late [ close to lights out ] then you can offer a little water via syringe, then a bath the next day when she wakes up. She may not eat the same day that she lays [ but some do ! ] but the next day her appetite may return. Give her plenty of feeders as welll as greens, and dust well with calcium powder. There is info in the breeding forum at the top of the page [ a sticky on what to do when your dragon lays eggs ] that may offer more advice.

She is on the thin side....how is she eating for you ? If she's been eating well , getting calcium + hydrated, and is active she can do just fine. Hopefully that will be the case !

She eats veggies like a champ, harder to get bugs into her. Whenever I bath her, she drinks the bath water lol. I also spray down their bodies (not the entire tank) every day after reading up on how to keep them hydrated.

She's settled into her lay box now and appears to be trying to lay, her sides keep contracting.

O.K., that's the way they do it, a slow wiggle as they push out each egg. It may take from 1 - 2 hours average, then she will come out and start pushing the dirt back with all 4 legs,[ usually, unless she is completely exhausted ] finishing off with tamping it down with her chin. But you can let her cover them halfway, then take her out and offer water. That will save her a little bit of energy and get some fluids in her before lights go out.

She is doing so good! Have what looks like at least 8 eggs, but she's getting skinnier and skinnier with each one, so scary! Very nervous foster Mum right now.

Definitely was preggers before we got her, which makes me feel better and worse. I'm glad it's not my fault, she and the male were together a few days before I got another cage, but I'm angry that the previous owner was such an ***** and I'm worried sick about her.

Yeah, she was thin to begin with, and it will shock you when you see how thin she gets when she's done. Like I said, she may be just fine...lots of rest, water, food + calcium. Pull her out after she covers them for a bit, or offer water right as she's covering them, just dribble it on her nose and she may drink right off the bat. Sweet little skinny girl !

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
